HTQs are new and existing level 4 and level 5 qualifications that have gained approval from the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education (IfATE) to be accredited as HTQs. This means they’ve been quality-marked by IfATE as meeting employer-led occupational standards.
In a nutshell, HTQs have been developed in collaboration with employers and businesses, so that students gain the specific training, knowledge and skills required for their chosen career.
The curriculum for each HTQ has been created to reflect what employers have said they need from their future employees. This makes them a high-quality alternative to other routes, such as apprenticeships, traineeships or standard bachelor’s degrees.
