Our BA (Hons) Business and Management (with pathways in Marketing or Human Resource Management) programme aims to develop reflexive, innovative, entrepreneurial, and creative future graduates. You will understand how businesses develop strategy, handle risks, and make decisions. You will investigate how businesses think and work, how they are managed and understand the external environment they operate in.
The focus throughout the programme is on innovative teaching and learning through doing and reflecting. Learning techniques include a combination of company visits, guest speakers and problem-based learning. This is in addition to a combination of lectures, seminars, tutorials, and workshops. With hard work, passion, and the support of our excellent teaching team you will build on your confidence and skills necessary for entering graduate level roles or go onto further education.

Our BA (Hons) Business and Management will develop excellent skills and knowledge in all areas of business and management. You will understand how businesses create success, how to manage business operations, how to make informed decisions and how to lead change in organisations.
You will be ready to step into a leadership or management role in a wider variety of industries across the world. Future careers include general management, Business Adviser, Project Managers or functional roles within HR, Marketing and Finance.
The BA (Hons) Business and Management is a 3 year degree qualification typically comprises 360 credits and comprises of a mixture of lectures, seminars, tutorials, practical sessions and independent study. Independent study is an important aspect of your degree course.
You will benefit from a variety of teaching and learning methods including: lectures, seminars, practical workshops, group activities, personal research and case studies. Personal study and independent research also form an integral part of the course. Some modules are part web-based with links to organisations such as professional bodies.
Assessment includes essays; reports; oral presentations; group assessments; investigating companies and tackling briefs from industry.

Normally Maths and English GCSE at Grade 4 / C or above or equivalent Level 2 qualification (i.e. Key Skills or Functional Skills).
Where English is not an applicant’s first language, they will be expected to possess an IELTS band score of 6.0 (with no-less than 5.5 in any one element) or a recognised English Language Level 2 qualification. Alternatively they may successfully complete the College’s English diagnostic assessment.
Non Standard Entry Requirements:
Applicants who do not have the qualifications specified above, but who hold alternative qualifications and/or experience demonstrating appropriate knowledge and skills at Level 3, may be admitted to the programme following an interview. For example, applicants may have been working in a relevant role in an appropriate organisation on an employed or voluntary basis, and therefore may have applicable skills and knowledge for entry.
