The foundation degree in computing has been developed by The School of Physical Sciences and Computing at the University of Central Lancashire and is delivered at University Campus Oldham, Higher Education at Oldham College.
The course introduces you to the latest innovations in technology and business systems. It is designed to equip you with the knowledge, understanding and skills required for success in a range of careers within the computing and information technology industries, whilst enabling you to develop essential skills that are relevant to many other careers.
Exploring new developments in mobile applications, programming, systems design and systems management, the course offers a balance between program development, practical computing theory and the use of applications to help you respond to the needs of today’s businesses.
The course includes a work placement to enable you to gain professional practice and develop employability skills to ensure you are fully prepared for the demands of the IT industry.
