At University Campus Oldham we offer a Foundation degree and a BA Honours Top Up Children and Young People.
The Foundation degree takes 2 years to complete full-time covers interesting topics such as: professional Practice; Child development; Supporting Troubled Families; Education Theory and Policy; Mental Health, Wellbeing and Resilience. Once you have completed the Foundation Degree, you have the option to gain a BA Degree with Honours by studying 1 more ‘Top Up’ Year.
The Children and Young People Team is comprised of experienced practitioners who have a range of specialisms relating to numerous sectors to include: Youth and Community work, Residential Social Work, Education and Schools; and Play. In the last academic year… 71% students on the Foundation Degree Children and Young People achieved a Merit/ Distinction 81% of the BA (Hons) Top Up students achieved a 2:1/ First Class Degree
