Katherine Seddon

Head of Student Support and Wellbeing Services



After teaching in HE within FE for over 20 years as an Education and Teacher Education Lecturer and Faculty Lead Katherine is now managing the support services at UCO. Her passion and enthusiasm for education has reflected throughout her career and has enabled her to focus on student’s academic performance. As a lecturer her focus was on supporting all student to reach the highest standards within an academic range of ability. As a faculty lead she excelled in supporting curriculum staff to develop curriculum processes, including curriculum design and quality. Managing a successful educational department containing a variety of degree qualifications within the range of the educational field before working on projects with The Educational Training Foundation such as ‘The Premium Graduate’ Scheme and ‘SET for Success Programme’

Specialisms in academic development through participation and completion of her Master Degree and teaching on the teacher Education programmes led to the involvement of academic development as a lecturer and later as the manager of the wider services for support at UCO.
