Charlotte Moran is the Health and Wellbeing Officer at UCO working as part of the academic support services team.
Charlotte offers a range of different services providing support for students who are suffering from mental health difficulties and distress. These issues include depression, anxiety, work-related stress, family issues, disability related issues and exam and assignment stress.
Charlotte offers a bespoke 6-week monitoring program, counselling, 1-2-1 appointments and drop-in sessions all tailored individually to the student’s needs. As well as individual support Charlotte delivers awareness tutorials and workshops around mental health topics including self-care, confidence, resilience and motivation and mindfulness relaxation techniques.
Throughout her studies and career Charlotte has worked in a variety of settings that have involved supporting clients and service users of organisations. In her early career she led sports and social groups for people with disabilities promoting independent living. Moving on from this role she worked with young people who had drug and substance misuse issues.
